Endurance riding is an equestrian discipline that is slowly growing in popularity in Malaysia. In recent years, the active participation of the former King of Malaysia, DYMM Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin has further increased the interest and support for the sport.
With his patronage and enthusiastic promotion of the sport, Malaysia was honoured by the FEI with the great privilege of hosting the World Endurance Championship in 2008 at the Terengganu International Endurance Park at Lembah Bidong.
Inaugurated in 2003, ar-Raudhah Equine Centre is the venue of choice for the Edaran Endurance Classic rides. Exceptions were made in 2007 and 2008 when the EEC was moved to Lembah Bidong, to allow Malaysian riders more opportunities to familiarise themselves with the championship track in 2008.
Organised by the Edaran Bhd, the company identifies and shares the core values associated with the sport, namely discipline, respect and perseverance.
ar-Raudhah Equine Centre hopes to continue to contribute to the promotion of the sport, particularly for the young riders. The team strongly believes that the sport is ideal to promote the core values, as well as a healthy respect for the environment among the riders.
